Does Gaming make you smarter ?

"BOOM HEADSHOT", Yes, you just shot someone down, but what did it do to you in real life ?
Is gaming just about sitting down and killing that zombie, taking out the sniper, being the assassin, winning the race ?
No right ?
Of-Course there's more to it than just that.

Fast paced games require require quick thinking and fast actions to avoid getting killed. In one study, participants aged 18 to 25 were split into two groups. One group played 50 hours of the action packed first-person shooter game 'Call of duty' and 'Unreal Tournament' and the other group played 50 hours of the simulator game 'The Sims'. The action game players made decisions 25% faster in a task unrelated to playing video games, without sacrificing accuracy.
Now you may think,"That's it? Just 25%?"
But in a real life situation like a surgery or as a soldier in the battlefield, that 25% would matter a lot.

So next time you sit down to play, don't hesitate, don't wonder as to how it will help you........ Get that headshot, shoot the zombie, win the race, score the goal!
